On July 28th 2018 Lee Baxter Productions put on a professional boxing match featuring 7 fights including the main event between IBF International junior welterweight champion Petros Ananyan and Steve Claggett at the Powerade Centre in Brampton ON.

As a photographer my goal was to test my skills and find moments in between the action that show something different about this ancient sport. Boxing is more than just blood and punches, it is a mental slog. Weeks and months of training leading up to a match that can leave you either victorious and jubilant or dejected and beaten. The rollercoaster of emotions that ever fighter goes through is what I wanted to see and what I wanted to photograph.
