The Raptors are the 2019 NBA champions. On June 14th, 2019, a collective cheer went up throughout Canada and the City of Toronto. The Toronto Raptors won the 2019 crown and gave Canada its first title since the 1993 Toronto Blue Jays.
The streets of Toronto filled with fans and revilers chanting, cheering and drinking, celebrating the team doing something not many expected. Yonge and Dundas square became packed with people should-to-shoulder. Fans climbed up lamp posts, scaffolding and on top of buses to find more room to dance and celebrate the momentous occasion. People came together to celebrate, strangers hugged on the street and the city for one night was united as champions.
